Warning signs are the following:
- Gums that bleed when you brush your teeth.
- Gums that are red, swollen and tender.
- Gums that have pulled away from the teeth.
- ‘Fuzzy’ feeling when you run your tongue over your teeth.
- Permanent teeth that are loose or separating.
- Any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.
- Any changes in the fit of your partial dentures.
- Bad breath.
